Eco Visarjan Staff is a restricted-access operational application used by authorized Staff at approved Ganesh idol immersion / Visarjan sites. Staff users are pre-approved by administrators, and the application does not allow public or self-registration.
Staff authenticate using a registered mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). During the operational workflow, authorized Staff can scan QR codes shown from the Eco Visarjan customer application, review the registered immersion information associated with that QR code, and mark an immersion as completed where appropriate.
The application is developed and maintained by Rohit Joshi as a technology service provider for activities coordinated with the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). The application itself is not owned or operated by TMC.
Information We Access and Process
Staff authentication information
The application uses the Staff user's registered mobile number together with OTP authentication to control access to the Staff application.
Immersion registration information
After a QR code is scanned, authorized Staff may be shown registration information associated with that immersion workflow, including:
- Customer name
- Customer mobile number
- Idol / Murti material type
- Idol / Murti height
- Scheduled immersion date
- Selected immersion site / location in textual form
- Immersion status and related registration information
Camera Access
Camera access is used for scanning QR codes during the Visarjan verification workflow. The QR code enables authorized Staff to retrieve the relevant registered immersion information for operational verification.
Location Information
The application may display the selected immersion site/location already stored as part of an immersion registration. That information is shown as textual registration information and is distinct from accessing the Staff user's live device location.
How We Use Information
Information accessed through the Staff application is used to support the authorized Visarjan verification workflow, including Staff authentication, QR-code-based retrieval of an immersion registration, review of registration details, and updating the immersion status when authorized Staff complete the relevant operational step.
Service Providers and Information Sharing
The application relies on service providers for specific technical functions. These services support the operation of the application and are not presented here as endorsements.
Immersion-registration information may be accessed by authorized personnel involved in Eco Visarjan operations and authorized personnel coordinating those activities with TMC, where operationally necessary.
Data Security
The application uses the following measures and access controls:

Data Retention
Personal and operational information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and administer Eco Visarjan services, maintain operational records, address security requirements, and meet applicable legal or administrative obligations. Because these requirements may differ depending on the type of record, there is currently no single fixed retention period applicable to all information.
Account and Data Deletion
Authorized Staff users can initiate an account-deletion request using the Delete Account option available within the Eco Visarjan Staff application. Certain operational records may be retained where reasonably required for legitimate legal, security, administrative, audit, regulatory, or operational purposes. Children's Privacy
Eco Visarjan Staff is a restricted-access operational application intended for pre-approved Staff users and is not designed or directed for use by children.
