About - Eco Visarjan Staff

Purpose of the App

The purpose of this app is to assist the public during the Ganesh Visarjan festival in Thane by:

Providing information about eco-friendly immersion practices
Listing official immersion sites designated by TMC
Helping users select a site in advance for smoother crowd and logistics management
Assisting TMC administrative staff in tracking and managing immersion-related operations

User Functionality

Staff Workflow:

• The App user can scan the QR code shown by Shree Ganesh Bhakt at the immersion site.

• The material used for making the idol and other details will be displayed.

• He/she can then segregate Shree Ganesh Murti for Eco friendly Visarjan based on material used for Shree Ganesh idol.

• The User then marks completion of Eco friendly Visarjan.

• All the necessary Statistics can be seen in various reports.

Clarification of Affiliation

Please note that while Rohit Joshi has been appointed as a technical service provider, the entity is not an official part of TMC. It operates only as a third-party service provider under TMC's guidance and does not represent the government in any official capacity beyond this project.

Data and Public Usage

The app is free to use by the public.
We collect information such as your name, contact details, and site preference to help TMC manage immersion facilities efficiently.
We do not use your data for any purpose other than site management and facility organization for the Ganesh festival immersion activities.
We do not share your data with third parties except with the relevant authorities at TMC for operational purposes.
All information is managed solely for operational purposes during the Ganesh Visarjan period.
